i would haven to say that in the Truman show,truman was a prisoner.he was set up in the his show from birth ,abdaopted by a cooperation and taken by his own will.everyone loved watching truman live his live but never didnt stop to think that he was taken by his will for entertainmen. As Rivas says "truman is being held without knowledge and the corporation wont let him go." also "when truman realizes whats going on the corporation tries to stop him.  when he gets in the car with his fake wife meryl  and tries to escape the corporation blocks all paths to his freedom. they even went to the extent of trying to drown him so he wont leave. "
